School History
Welch College, formerly known as Free Will Baptist Bible College, was founded by the National Free Will Baptist Association in 1942. It was originally a two-year institution. In 1949, a third year of study was added. In 1950, a fourth year of study was added. In 1951, the first bachelor's degree was awarded.
In 2012, the college was renamed Welch College in honor of John L. Welch and his wife Mary. John L. Welch was the main figure in 1935 in facilitating the establishment of the National Free Will Baptist Association by the union of Eastern and Western Free Will Baptists.

Campus Life
