History:
Its site was originally Fort George Wright, which became redundant military land after World War II. In 1960, it was proposed to build a college on the site. In 1967, Spokane Falls Community College was officially established as part of Spokane Community College, which was established near Chief Gary Park as early as 1963. In 1970, the two campuses were separated into two independent colleges, but they have maintained a cooperative relationship. The original campus had 8 new buildings for different purposes, including administration, physical and natural sciences, library, social sciences, business sciences, communications, fine arts and gymnasium.
