The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd) is a higher education institution in Hong Kong that focuses on teacher training and educational research. However, since May 27, 2016, the Hong Kong Institute of Education has officially changed its name to The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), becoming the eighth public university in Hong Kong. In 2016, the school obtained university status and was renamed the Education University of Hong Kong.
