Shandong Medical College has two campuses, Linyi and Jinan. The Linyi campus was established as a branch of Qingdao Medical College in Yishui in 1966. It was renamed Yishui Medical College in 1972, moved to Linyi in 1982, and was renamed Linyi Medical College in 1986 and Shandong Medical College in 2004. The Jinan campus was formerly the Shandong Provincial Health Cadre School established in 1954, renamed Shandong Provincial Health Cadre Continuing Education College and Shandong Jinan Health School in 1958, rebuilt Shandong Provincial Health School in 1989, and merged into Shandong Medical College in 2005. The school covers an area of 1,667 acres, with a construction area of 650,900 square meters, fixed assets of 1.194 billion yuan, teaching equipment with a total value of 222 million yuan, a library with a collection of 1.1733 million books, and 709,000 digital resources. The campus is fully covered by wired and wireless networks and IPV6, achieving barrier-free data exchange and sharing, forming a one-stop campus information application system integrating talent training, teaching and research, administrative management, and logistics services. The school currently has 28,285 full-time students, including 7,364 students in secondary and higher vocational education. There are 1,054 full-time teachers, including 635 teachers with associate senior titles or above, 36 doctors, 667 masters, 67.3% of them are masters or above, and 871 "double-qualified" teachers. There are 5 provincial teaching teams, 2 provincial college Huang Danian-style teacher teams, 3 provincial vocational education teaching innovation teams, 2 provincial youth innovation teams, 4 provincial vocational education master studios, and 1 provincial vocational education skills and skills inheritance and innovation platform. In the past five years, more than 60 teachers have served as chairpersons and vice chairpersons in national, provincial and municipal academic groups, teaching guidance committees, and professional construction guidance committees, and more than 50 teachers have been hired as editors-in-chief and deputy editors-in-chief of national and provincial and ministerial planning textbooks.
