Zibo Vocational College is a full-time comprehensive higher vocational school sponsored by the Zibo Municipal People's Government. It was established in 2002 and its history can be traced back to 1956. It is now a construction unit of the "China's Characteristic High-level Vocational School and Professional Construction Plan", an excellent construction unit of the National Demonstration School, a national high-quality school, a national diagnosis and reform pilot school, a pilot unit of the Ministry of Education's modern apprenticeship system, and a model school for the construction of digital campuses in national vocational colleges. It has successively won the honorary titles of National Advanced Vocational Education Unit, National Advanced Unit for Spiritual Civilization Construction, and National Model Unit for Greening, and won the Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Award. It was selected as one of the "Top 50" national higher vocational colleges in terms of teaching resources, industry-education integration, service contribution, and international influence, and the "Top 50" of Asia-Pacific vocational colleges in terms of influence. The college has 19 departments and 73 majors, covering an area of more than 2,400 acres and more than 25,000 students. It has 4 national vocational education training bases, 1 national demonstration virtual simulation training base cultivation project, 3 national productive training bases, 1 national virtual simulation training center, 2 national collaborative innovation centers, and 1 national vocational education "double-qualified" teacher training base. The college fully implements the talent-strengthening strategy, adheres to the two-pronged approach of talent introduction and training, and gradually builds a high-level, double-qualified teaching team. There are 1,438 full-time teachers, including 112 senior professional titles, 341 associate senior professional titles, 83 doctors, and 1,137 masters. The college vigorously promotes education and teaching reform, insists on cultivating students' employment competitiveness and development potential, establishes the talent training concept of "two in-depths" and "four integrations" and the talent training model of "school-enterprise collaboration, workplace connection, and alternating study and training", and actively implements the decision of the Party Central Committee to accelerate the construction of a modern vocational education system. As a demonstration school for integrated school-enterprise cooperation in Shandong Province, the college took the lead in establishing the National Demonstration Vocational Education Group (Alliance) - Zibo Vocational Education Group, which absorbs the participation of local administrative departments, colleges and universities, industry associations, and enterprises in key industries, so that the government, schools, enterprises and enterprises can exchange information and interconnect with each other. Based on the requirements of regional economic and social development for the improvement of professional quality and business capabilities of talents, relying on its own advantages in profession, faculty, scientific research, etc., the college has successively established 10 provincial and municipal demonstration training bases, 4 characteristic industry training colleges, and formed a social training project team. It conducts training for practitioners in agriculture and rural areas, construction industry, medicine and health, and elderly care services all year round, with an annual training volume of more than 120,000 people per day.
