Brandenburg University of Technology is a comprehensive public industrial university located in Brandenburg, Germany. It is also the largest key industrial university and the only large-scale university in the state. Its academic qualifications are recognized by the Ministry of Education of China.

History

The school was formerly a school of construction engineering established in the former East Germany in 1954. After the reunification of Germany, the school became an industrial university and was renamed "Brandenburg University of Technology" in 1994. On July 1, 2013, according to the "Reorganization Law of Higher Education in the Lausitz Region", Brandenburg University of Technology and Lausitz University of Applied Sciences merged to form the new Brandenburg University of Technology.

Ranking

In the 2003 German news magazine "Star Weekly" Brandenburg University of Technology ranks among the top universities in the university rankings published by the German University of Applied Sciences, especially in architecture, which ranks first in Germany.

In the 2015 German University Rankings, its mechanical engineering and electrical engineering majors ranked 13th in Germany.

Fees

All students, whether German or not, need to pay 321.03 euros per semester, which includes a student transportation card, which allows free use of all public transportation in Berlin and Brandenburg, as well as free use of the regional express train (RE 18) to Dresden-Neustadt.

Campus

Geographic location: There are mainly two campuses in Cottbus and Senftenberg.
