Introduction to Tamale Polytechnic:
History and Establishment
Establishment: Originally established as a trade training center in 1951.
Development History: It became a government training school in 1954 and transformed into a primary technical college in 1960. On August 23, 1992, through the education reform plan and the promulgation of the Provisional National Defense Committee Law (PNDC Law 321), it was promoted to a polytechnic and began to offer higher national diploma courses.
School Strength
Teaching Achievements: The school has trained many graduates who play an important role in the country's technology, business and other fields. The school claims that its graduates have a pass rate of 87%.
Student Situation: Students come from three regions in northern Ghana and other regions. There is even a certain proportion of international students, of which 35% of students receive scholarships.

Vision: To be an IT-driven higher education institution with a cohesive workforce, offering professional, certificate, higher national diploma and degree courses relevant to national development, placing the socio-economic environment needs of polytechnics at the center.
