Introduction
Sunyani Technical University is a public higher education institution located in the Bono region of Ghana. It plays an important role in the field of technical and vocational education and has trained a large number of professional and technical talents for Ghana.
History and establishment time
Establishment time: In 1967, the school was originally a technical college, a non-higher education institution, under the jurisdiction of the Ghana Education Service.
Development history: In 1997, it was upgraded to a polytechnic by the Ghanaian government and began to offer higher national diploma (HND) courses. In 2007, the Polytechnic Act authorized polytechnics in Ghana to offer and award higher national diploma (HND) certificates, diplomas and other higher degrees. After that, the school continued to grow and eventually became Sunyani Technical University.
