The Technical Educational Institute of Athens is a public higher education institution in Athens, the capital of Greece. It is in a leading position in the field of technical education in Greece. The institute was established in 1983. Its predecessor was one of the higher technical education centers established in 1974. On March 1, 2018, the institute merged with the Technical Educational Institute of Piraeus and upgraded to the University of Western Attica.
