Introduction and Overview
The Technical Educational Institute of Thessaly is a public higher education institution in Greece, formerly known as Larissa Technical Educational Institute. In January 2019, the institute was abolished and its faculties were absorbed by the University of Thessaly in accordance with Greek Law No. 4589.
History and Establishment
The institute was established in 1983 and replaced the then existing Higher Technical and Vocational Center along with all Greek technical education institutes. In 2001, all technical education institutions were established as higher education institutions together with universities in accordance with Greek Act No. 2916/2001.
