Kwararafa University Wukari is a private university located in Wukari, Taraba State, Nigeria, with the goal of providing high-quality education and cultivating well-rounded talents.

History and Establishment

In 2005, the university was awarded the Wukari Jubilee license by the Nigerian National University Commission.

It officially opened in March 2006 with 61 students. It is the first community-driven university in Nigeria, the first university in Taraba State, and the second private university in the northeastern geopolitical zone of Nigeria.

In February 2012, the school was renamed Kwararafa University to better reflect the cultural and historical roots of the union.
