Introduction

The Academy of Music of Poznan, also known as the Paderewski Academy of Music, is one of the eight major music academies in Poland. It is named after the famous Polish pianist and politician Paderewski. Because every Wieniawski Violin Competition is held here, it is known as the "Violin Capital".

History

Establishment time: 1920.

Development process: It was originally established as the National Academy of Music in 1920 and was renamed the National Academy of Music in 1922. During World War II, the dean changed many times, but the tradition of musicians serving as deans was always maintained. In 2000 and 2002, the college awarded honorary doctorates to two internationally renowned conductors, Jan Krenz and Stefan Tuligrosz, respectively.
