The Kielce University of Technology was established on June 3, 1965. Its predecessor was the Kielce-Radom Evening School of Engineering. In 1967, the college was transformed into the Kielce-Radom Higher School of Engineering, and on September 19, 1974 The Nikkei Ministerial Conference decided to upgrade it to Kielce University of Technology.
