Alioune Diop University of Bambey is an important public higher education institution in Senegal. It is located in Bambey, Djourbel, in the central-western part of Senegal and is a member of the Association Universitaires de l'Universitaire de la Francophonie.

Even if the outdoor temperature reaches 40 degrees Celsius, the indoor temperature can maintain a comfortable 25 degrees Celsius. The campus may encounter heavy rain and flooding during the rainy season. A percolation reservoir is set up on one side of the new teaching building to collect rainwater, and plants such as lemongrass are planted to reduce mosquitoes.
