Introduction to Amoud University:

Introduction: Amoud University is a comprehensive public university located in Borama, Somaliland. It is an important local institution of higher education and has trained a large number of professionals for Somaliland and surrounding areas.

History and establishment time: In 1994, four intellectuals working in the Gulf region came up with the idea of ​​establishing Amoud University. On August 6, 1996, the proposal was formally put forward at a seminar held in Borama and a resolution to establish the school in 1997 was passed. In September 1997, the school conducted its first admissions examination and selected 66 students for a 9-month intensive English course. On November 4, 1998, the university started undergraduate courses and welcomed the first batch of freshmen. The school was officially established.
