Introduction: It is one of the largest universities in Somalia and occupies an important position in the country's higher education sector.
History and establishment time: Formerly known as the Bend Qasim University, it was established in Bosaso in 1999 by a group of Somali educators.
School strength: There are more than 2,500 students at the Bosaso campus and 3,000 students at the other 6 branches.
Institutional nature: A non-profit, community-based higher education institution.
Educational philosophy: Promote innovative teaching, research and participation, require and reward breakthrough knowledge creation, and motivate teachers and students to learn.
Faculties and disciplines: There are 12 colleges including the School of Public Administration, the School of Business Administration, the School of Sharia and Islamic Studies, and the School of Computer Science.
Campus environment: The main campus is located in the suburbs of Bosaso, and there are branches in Buhuder, Galdogab, Galkayo and other places in Somalia.
