School Profile: The University of Arusha is a private Christian university in Tanzania, affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It is part of the Seventh-day Adventist education system, the second largest Christian school system in the world. In 1978, it was upgraded to a college and renamed the Tanzania Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary and College. In 1992, it was renamed the Tanzania Seventh-day Adventist College. In 1996, it established an affiliation with Griggs University in the United States. In 1998, it established an affiliation with the University of East Africa, Balaton, Kenya. In 2003, it began to transform into a university, and in 2006 it became a fully licensed and accredited university.
