Introduction: Northrise University is a private university with a Christian background in Zambia. With the motto of "pursuing excellence", it is committed to providing students with quality education and cultivating talents with leadership and social influence.

Nature of institution: Private, Christian-centered university.
Location: Located in Ndola, Copperbelt Province, Zambia, the main campus is on T3 Road (Ndola-Kitwe two-lane road), 8 kilometers from the center of Ndola.
Student and faculty size: As of January 2023, there are more than 1,200 students and 70 academic staff.
History: The school was founded by Dr. Moffat Zimba and Mrs. Doreen Zimba. In 1988, they came up with the idea of building a school because of their own experience. The two left Zambia to attend Bible college in Australia. Moffat then obtained a doctorate from Fuller Theological Seminary and Doreen obtained a master's degree in business administration in technology management from the University of Phoenix. They founded the University of North Rise in 2003.

International Cooperation: Cooperate with Dortmund University, Grand Canyon University, LeTourneau University, Baylor University, Fontys University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, the Global Education Alliance, and the Association of Christian Colleges.
Cooperation with certification agencies: Cooperate with the Higher Education Authority of Zambia, the Zambia Qualifications Authority, the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and the General Nursing Council of Zambia, and their degrees and courses have a certain degree of recognition.
Educational philosophy: Based on Christian principles, provide students with a comprehensive education, cultivate students' abilities in academics, spirituality, leadership, etc., so that graduates can play a leading role and spiritual influence in business, government, church and social undertakings.

In addition, the school also has a farm to provide agricultural products for teachers and students, and also lay the foundation for the development of agricultural majors.
