Shijiazhuang Post and Telecommunications Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1956. It is a public higher vocational college approved by the Ministry of Education. It is affiliated to China Post Group Co., Ltd. It is the only higher education institution in my country that mainly trains postal professionals. It is also the Party School of China Post Group Co., Ltd., the training center of China Post Group Co., Ltd., China Post Network College and the scientific research service support base of China Post Group Co., Ltd. Since its establishment, the college has fully implemented the party's education policy, adhered to the fundamental task of cultivating people with moral integrity, adhered to the integration of production and education, school-enterprise cooperation, and adhered to the school-running positioning of "based on postal services, serving the grassroots, and contributing to society". It has created a career pattern that integrates multiple functions such as higher vocational education, party school education, on-the-job training, scientific research and service support, and has embarked on a distinctive path of "deep integration of production and education, collaborative education between schools and enterprises, and integrated development of education, training and research". The college currently has three campuses (the construction of the new campus in Zhengding is underway), covering a total area of nearly 1,000 acres. It has six characteristic professional groups, namely "postal express, modern logistics, modern finance, intelligent engineering, information technology, and financial accounting". There are more than 9,000 full-time students and 838 employees of various types, including 452 doctoral and master's students, and 211 associate senior professional titles or above. It has a group of high-end talents such as the national "Ten Thousand Talents Plan" teaching master, experts enjoying special government allowances, advanced individuals of the first national textbook construction award, national teaching team, national teacher teaching innovation team, national curriculum ideological and political teaching team, transportation youth science and technology talents, and deputy director of the Ministry of Education's industry vocational teaching committee. Annual centralized training for 25,000 people, remote training for 5 million people, professional skill level certification for 100,000 people, and annual support for more than 100 scientific research projects. In the long-term practice of running schools, the college has achieved fruitful results. It has been identified by the Ministry of Education as one of the "27 national exemplary general higher engineering colleges", "excellent school for talent training", and "national continuing education demonstration base"; approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security as the first batch of "national high-skilled talent training demonstration bases", and won the "National Skilled Talent Cultivation Outstanding Contribution Award"; identified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as the first "communication industry vocational skills appraisal training base" in the education system; identified by the Hebei Provincial Government as a "provincial key demonstration higher vocational college". In recent years, the college has been rated as a "national advanced unit of vocational education", "national typical experience college for graduate employment", and "the first batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units" by the Ministry of Education; identified by the State Post Bureau as the first batch of "postal industry talent training bases" in the country; identified by Hebei Province as a "Hebei Province High-level Professional Group Construction Unit" and "Hebei Province Quality School Construction Unit"; and was rated as a national model branch for party building work, a demonstration project of ideological and political courses of the Ministry of Education, a high-quality project of ideological and political work in colleges and universities, a national professional teaching resource library, a national planning textbook, a national productive training base and a technology innovation center. In the past five years, the college has won nearly 200 important awards, including the Second Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, the Gold Prize of the China International "Internet +" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the Excellent Practice Award of the Association for Talent Development (ATD). In 2019, the college was selected as a construction unit of the "China Characteristic High-level Vocational School and Professional Construction Plan" and won the excellent grade in the mid-term performance evaluation.
