Chongqing Vocational College of Finance and Economics is a full-time public general higher vocational college organized by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, filed with the Ministry of Education, supervised by the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce and the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, fully funded by the government, and has the qualification to independently issue general higher education college degrees. The school was founded in 1956 and was originally named Jiangjin District Commercial Workers School to carry out cadre education and training; in 1974, full-time secondary vocational education was opened; in 1983, it was renamed Chongqing Second Finance and Trade School; in 2007, it was transformed and upgraded to a general higher vocational college and renamed Chongqing Vocational College of Finance and Economics to hold higher vocational education. The school is located in Yongchuan District, the main urban area of Chongqing and the western vocational education base. The school covers an area of 710 acres, with complete teaching facilities and equipment, and the library has more than 1.1 million books. There are more than 12,700 full-time students. The school has a strong faculty, with 401 masters and doctors and 117 associate senior titles or above.
