Weifang Institute of Technology is a full-time general undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education of China and the People's Government of Shandong Province. It was founded in 2005. The school adheres to the school-running philosophy of "culture first, sports first, and comprehensive development", adheres to the school-running model of "school-enterprise integration, production-university-research integration", and takes "wholehearted service for teachers and students" as its purpose, strengthens basic knowledge, pays attention to humanistic education, highlights ability training, and strives to cultivate application-oriented and compound professional talents that meet the needs of social development. The school has the Qingzhou main campus and the Weifang central campus, covering a total area of more than 1,600 acres and a planned building area of more than 700,000 square meters. The main campus is located in Qingzhou, a national historical and cultural city and one of the ancient nine states, covering an area of more than 1,000 acres and a building area of more than 400,000 square meters. The campus environment is elegant, with an indoor gymnasium, two swimming pools, and three outdoor stadiums. There are 2 teaching institutions, including the School of Continuing Education and International Cooperation and the Department of Mathematics and Physics, offering 44 undergraduate majors and 30 junior college majors, covering 9 major disciplines including literature, science, engineering, management, economics, education, art, law, and agriculture, forming a unique teaching and scientific research framework of Weifang Institute of Technology. The school has two independent legal entities, Weifang Institute of Technology Science and Technology Research Institute and Weifang Weiligong Comprehensive High School. Weifang Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Research Institute and Weifang Institute of Science and Technology carry out scientific and technological research and development, technical consultation, and achievement transformation through three research institutes: artificial intelligence, new energy, and modern agriculture and environment. Weifang Institute of Technology Comprehensive High School was established with the approval of Weifang Education Bureau and Weifang Administrative Approval Bureau, and is sponsored by Weifang Institute of Technology.
