History and establishment time
Founded in 1857 by Austrian-Hungarian merchants and bankers, Budapest Business School is the oldest public business school in the world and the second oldest business school after ESCP Business School in France. Its predecessor was Pest Business School. After the merger of Buda and Pest, it was renamed Budapest Business School.
School Strength
Faculty: It has more than 400 academic staff who are experts in their respective fields, actively participate in key professional organizations, and are passionate about teaching.
Subjects and majors: It offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs in Hungarian, English, French and German, covering leadership, economics, operations management, marketing, entrepreneurship, organizational behavior and other fields. Among them, 12 undergraduate majors and 12 master's majors, such as Master of Finance, Master of Management, Master of International Business, Master of Tourism Management, etc. are very popular.

In the 2021 Webometrics ranking, Budapest Business School ranks 1st in Hungary, 33rd in Europe and 71st in the world, and is the first university in Hungary to obtain international accreditation from the Network of International Business Schools (NIBS).

Campus facilities: The main campus is located in the 14th district of Budapest, with multiple campuses distributed in the city, such as Constitution Street Campus, Marko Street Campus and Budzogani Street Campus. The campus has a unique architectural style, and some of the campus buildings have a long history and cultural value. For example, the building on Constitution Street was designed by Győző Czigler and built in 1885, when the Hungarian Parliament Building was built next to it.
