Chongqing Institute of Foreign Studies (Chongqing Institute of Foreign Studies), referred to as "Chongwaiyuan" in Chinese and "CIFS" in English. The school was formerly known as Chongqing South Translation College of Sichuan International Studies University, which was founded in 2001 and was approved by the Ministry of Education to be converted into an independent general undergraduate university at the end of 2020. After more than 20 years of construction and development, the school has become a multidisciplinary university with literature as the main discipline, language discipline as the advantage, and literature, economics, management, art, engineering, education and other disciplines coordinated development. Since its establishment, it has trained more than 60,000 qualified graduates for the country. It recruits students from 29 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) across the country. The school has two campuses in Qijiang and Yubei. Qijiang Campus is located in the eastern new town of Qijiang District. The campus is built on the mountain, with lush trees and fresh air. The landscape avenue is connected to the Hibiscus Garden. Ten thousand cherry trees along the way are a unique and beautiful scenery of the school. Yubei Campus is located in the Liangjiang New District of Chongqing, a national-level development zone, adjacent to Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport.
