Hebei Academy of Fine Arts is a private full-time general undergraduate art college approved by the Ministry of Education. The school was founded in 2002, and was approved to confer bachelor's degrees in 2015, and master's degrees in 2016. In 2019, it passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the State Council Education Supervision Committee. With approval, from 2024, four art majors, including sculpture, animation, digital media art, and art and technology, will organize school examinations on the basis of passing the provincial unified examination. The school covers an area of 7,035 acres, with a total construction area of 724,600 square meters and more than 2.23 million paper books in the library. The school has an art museum with more than 10,000 pieces of cultural relics such as famous calligraphy, painting, sculpture, etc. for students to appreciate and copy for basic training. At present, there are 6 secondary colleges, including the School of Plastic Arts, the School of Calligraphy, the School of Design, the School of Film and Television Arts, the School of Animation and Digital Arts, and the School of Sculpture and Public Art, with 27,382 full-time students. The school actively adapts to the demand for artistic talents in regional economic and social development, and continuously optimizes the professional layout. There are 39 undergraduate majors. Among them, Digital Media Art and Art and Technology majors have been approved as national first-class professional construction sites, and 6 majors including Calligraphy, Environmental Design, Broadcasting and Hosting Art, Animation, Sculpture, and Radio and Television Director have been approved as first-class professional construction sites in Hebei Province. Among them, Calligraphy and Environmental Design majors have successfully passed the acceptance and have been recognized as first-class majors in Hebei Province; Environmental Design major has been rated as a key development discipline in Hebei Province, and Art Design major has been listed as a provincial professional comprehensive reform pilot. It has 7 provincial excellent teaching teams, 3 provincial teaching achievement awards, and has built a total of 12 provincial first-class undergraduate courses, provincial boutique online open courses, and provincial ideological and political demonstration courses. There are nearly 200 off-campus practical teaching bases, and huge investments have been made to build a college student innovation and entrepreneurship city (Jiming City). The school covers an area of 724,600 square meters, with a total construction area of 2.23 million books and 27,382 full-time students. In recent years, our teachers have presided over 15 national social science fund and national art fund projects, 38 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, and published 86 academic papers in CSSCI source journals such as "Fine Arts" and "Chinese Calligraphy", and 398 academic papers in Peking University Chinese core journals such as "Fine Arts Observation" and "Art Hundreds". Teachers' artistic creations have won 2,267 provincial and above awards, 514 national awards, and 99 international awards for academic works. The school has established research institutions such as the Hebei Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Center, the Laozi and Zhuangzi Culture Research Center, the Oriental Art Research Institute, the Guan Hanqing Wang Shifu Research Center, and the Ancient Architecture Digital Art Research Institute. It has built 130 basic and professional laboratories such as the Da Vinci Color Correction Laboratory, the 3D Animation Model Laboratory, the Landscape Architecture Sand Table Laboratory, the Jade Carving Laboratory, the 3D Printing Laboratory, the Intelligent Platemaking Laboratory, the Traditional Hand-mounting Laboratory, and the Tempera Crafts Laboratory, and has built 3 internship and practice teaching bases for postgraduates. Since 2019, our school has jointly trained master's students with 17 domestic and foreign universities, including Hainan Normal University, Hebei University of Geosciences, Thailand's Chulalongkorn University, and Pakistan University of Education. The school currently has more than 2,000 full-time teachers, 50 master's supervisors, 31.2% of teachers with senior professional titles, and 83.24% of teachers with master's degrees or above. There are currently 2 academicians, and academician workstations have been established in the school respectively; 1 national talent plan, and 14 Hebei Provincial Talent Plan. More than 30 internationally and domestically renowned experts and professors such as Shang Hui, Yang Huashan, Chen Chiyu, Chen Guying, Liu Zhengcheng, Guo Baozhai, and He Yinghui have been hired. The school actively carries out foreign exchanges and cooperation, and has established long-term cooperative relations with 36 universities in more than 10 countries including Russia, the United Kingdom, Germany, South Korea, Italy, and Japan in scientific research, academic exchanges, teacher further studies, and student training. With the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school has cooperated with Hunan University in South Korea and ACME Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, Italy, to organize undergraduate education programs such as landscape architecture and clothing and apparel design. It has planned and built a red cultural park covering an area of more than 100 acres, a red cultural corridor of more than 300 meters, and an Oriental Art History Park and a Western Art History Park, etc., realizing environmental education and situational teaching.
