Binzhou Polytechnic (BinZhou Polytechnic), referred to as "Binzhou Polytechnic" or "Binzhi" (BZPT), is located in Binzhou, Shandong, a national health city, a national garden city, and a demonstration zone for the coordinated development strategy of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei in the hinterland of the Yellow River Delta. It is adjacent to the vast Bohai Sea and the mighty Yellow River. The Yellow River culture and Qi culture that carry the genes of Chinese civilization originated and blended here, giving birth to famous military thinkers such as Sun Tzu and politician Fan Zhongyan. Binzhou Vocational College was established in July 2001 by merging the former Binzhou Agricultural School, Health School, Economic School, Industrial School and Municipal Agricultural Science Institute. It has a 66-year history of running schools and has gone through "being identified as a key demonstrative vocational college in Shandong Province, realizing the transformation from secondary vocational education to higher vocational education, and from decentralized education to centralized education", "through the evaluation of the level of talent training, realizing a major transformation from scale expansion to connotation construction", "passing the acceptance of national key schools with excellent results, and ranking among the first echelon of higher vocational colleges in the country", "being shortlisted for the ranks of 200 high-quality higher vocational colleges in the country, realizing a historical leap from scientific catching up to innovation leading" and other important development stages. From the arduous journey in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China to the overcoming difficulties and striving forward at the beginning of the new century; from the strategic transformation of higher vocational education to the continued glory in the forefront, generations of Binzhou Vocational and Technical College people have worked hard and passed on the torch, forging a school spirit of "respecting morality and valuing ability", accumulating a teaching style of "knowing and doing as an example", cultivating a style of study of "being knowledgeable and quick to act", and condensing the school motto of "responsibility". Binzhou Vocational College currently covers an area of 3639.96 acres, with a building area of 846,800 square meters, a teaching and scientific research and administrative area of 490,700 square meters, and teaching and scientific research equipment assets of 239.8607 million yuan; it has 15 secondary colleges and 48 enrollment majors; there are 23,516 students and 1,425 faculty members, including 1,139 full-time teachers, of which 880 have a master's degree or above, accounting for 77.26%; 352 teachers with senior professional and technical positions, accounting for 30.9%, including 48 senior teachers and 304 deputy senior teachers; 733 dual-qualified teachers, accounting for 64.35%; 385 part-time teachers, accounting for 33.8%. There are 2 national-level vocational education teacher teaching innovation teams, 2 national-level curriculum ideological and political demonstration teams, 1 famous teacher of the "Ten Thousand Talents Plan", 10 experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, 4 national outstanding teachers, 3 young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions in the province, 7 provincial teaching masters, 1 "Top Ten Outstanding Teachers" in provincial universities, and 14 provincial teaching teams. The college is one of the first national backbone higher vocational colleges, the first batch of national modern apprenticeship pilot units, and the national pilot college for teaching diagnosis and improvement of vocational colleges. It has won more than 50 national and provincial titles such as "National Advanced Vocational Education Unit", "National Advanced Collective of the Education System", and "National Skilled Talent Cultivation Outstanding Contribution Award". It has been selected as one of the "Top 50 Teaching Management", "Top 50 Teaching Resources", and "Top 50 Service Contributions" of national higher vocational colleges for many times. In September 2017, it ranked fourth in the province and ranked among the first batch of Shandong Province's high-quality higher vocational college construction project construction schools. We have precisely matched the development needs of the top ten industries in Shandong Province's "5+5" transformation of new and old kinetic energy, and created ten major professional groups, including smart health care, medical technology, equipment manufacturing, biochemical engineering, electronic information, modern finance, trade and circulation, civil engineering, marine transportation, and education. Relying on 18 training qualifications such as the Shandong Provincial Enterprise Professional and Technical Personnel Continuing Education Base, more than 60,000 people are trained each year, generating more than 25 million yuan in revenue, and it has been rated as a "National Workers' Education and Training Demonstration Site". The "Lu Binzhi" cultural salon and academic lecture hall were opened, and upgraded to Binzhou Cultural Lecture Hall, becoming a social welfare activity widely participated by the general public; and the Municipal CPPCC jointly built the first municipal-level CPPCC Cultural and Historical Museum in the country on campus; the school and the enterprise jointly built the corporate culture museum on campus, and set up folk art masters and intangible cultural heritage inheritors' studios; carried out campus cultural activities with "four seasons, one festival and one competition" as the main content; and created the campus space layout and landscape pattern of "one axis, two mountains, three districts, four lakes, five fields, six museums and nine gardens". Won the second prize of the National College Campus Culture Outstanding Achievements, and won the titles of National Model Unit for Greening and National Charming Campus of Vocational Colleges. Accelerate the process of internationalization and build a large pattern of foreign education. Adhere to the international vision of "serving national strategies and cultivating international craftsmen" and establish friendly cooperative relations with more than 30 universities and educational institutions in 14 countries or regions such as Germany and Australia. There are 3 Sino-foreign cooperative education projects in nursing, accounting, and computer network technology; there are Binzhou "Belt and Road" International Talent Training Base, Binzhou Workstation of International Talent Special Fund, and Binzhou Campus of UWEE, European, American and Asian Education Alliance; Binzhou-Taiwan Industry-University-Research Exchange Center and Binzhou-Taiwan Youth Cultural Exchange Center. Make the "Lu Binzhi" brand famous and explore new models of characteristic development. Establish a modern vocational education studio with "Lu Binzhi" as the collective pen name. The college was entrusted to formulate the national undergraduate vocational education standards, presided over or participated in the drafting of 12 vocational education documents of the Ministry of Education and the Department of Education; entrusted by the Ministry of Education, it undertook the design of the National Vocational Education Week Logo and posters and was permanently adopted, undertook the review of vocational education in various provinces (cities) during the implementation of the National People's Congress Vocational Education Law, and planned the "Great Country Master" series of publicity reports. It is the first college in the country to illustrate the State Council's "Decision on Accelerating the Development of Modern Vocational Education" and a higher vocational college to open a column in the "China Education Daily". It is the only college in the country that has continuously undertaken network publicity since the establishment of the National Vocational Education Week in 2015.
