Introduction and Overview

Cyprus International University is a private English-speaking university located in Nicosia, the capital of Northern Cyprus. It has more than 22,000 students from 110 different countries studying here, creating a multicultural learning environment.

History and Founding Time

The university was established in 1997 to meet the growing global demand for higher education and is committed to becoming a center of excellence in teaching and research.

School Strength

Faculty: It has a highly qualified faculty, some of whom are from the United States and the United Kingdom, and the rest are local masters and doctoral teachers who graduated from famous European and American universities.

Research Achievements: It has actively invested in and achieved certain results in global issues such as sustainable development, environment, alternative energy resources and cultural heritage protection. In four years, it has risen from 375th to 111th in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings. It has established the first and largest solar farm on the island, completed the plan for the first private biogas plant in Northern Cyprus, and excavated one of the oldest settlements in the north of the island through the Center for Archaeology, Cultural Heritage and Conservation.
