Alexandria University is one of Egypt's oldest non-religious universities, located on Ergish Road, El Shetbi District, Alexandria, Egypt. The total number of students is huge, with 210,787, 91% of which are undergraduates and 9% are postgraduates. The school has 10,445 faculty and staff.
History and Establishment Time
The school was established in 1938 in the form of two affiliated colleges of Fuad I University - the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Law. In 1941, the Faculty of Engineering was established. In August 1942, it was established as an independent entity and four new colleges were added. In 1952, it was renamed Alexandria University.
