History and establishment time
The school was conceived by Professor Ashraf Mansour in 1994, preparations began in 1998, and it was approved by Presidential Decree 27/2002 in 2002 in accordance with Egyptian Law No. 101/1992 and its implementing regulation No. 355/1996. In October 2003, representatives from Germany and Egypt, led by the President of Egypt and the German Chancellor, held an inauguration ceremony for the German University in Cairo.
