History: Cangzhou Medical College was founded in 1958 as "Tianjin Special District Medical College" with a college system. In June 1961, the school was renamed "Hebei Cangzhou Medical College" and was affiliated to the Hebei Provincial Health Department. In 1962, the school was restructured from a college to a technical secondary school and renamed "Hebei Cangzhou Medical School". In 1963, it was renamed "Hebei Cangzhou Health School". In 2001, with the approval of the Hebei Provincial Education Department, the school was named "Hebei Medical University Cangzhou Branch". In May 2004, it was upgraded to "Cangzhou Medical College" with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
