The school is located in the ancient city of Xi'an. It currently has two campuses, Bailuyuan and Chang'an, covering an area of 977.05 acres, a building area of 342,000 square meters, 835 faculty and staff, and more than 14,000 students. The school was founded in 1995. Its predecessor was the "Governor's Project" - Shaanxi Vocational Education Center. It was upgraded to Shaanxi Vocational and Technical College in 2001. In 2016, Xi'an Foreign Trade Workers University was merged into the school, tracing its history back to 1978. The school has 11 secondary colleges, including the New Business School, the School of Tourism and Culture (Bailu Cang Cultural Tourism Industry College), the School of Preschool Education, the School of Architectural Engineering, the School of Foreign Trade, the School of Electronic Information Engineering (Dingli Industrial College), the School of Environmental Arts, the School of Automotive Engineering and General Aviation (Bosch Automotive College, Jingdong General Aviation College), the School of Artificial Intelligence, the School of International Exchange and Cooperation, and the School of Marxism, as well as Shaanxi Vocational Education (Applied Technology) Research Institute, Shaanxi Convention and Exhibition Research Institute, Ukraine Research Center, Rural Revitalization Planning and Design Institute, Liu Wenxi Painting Art Research Institute and other teaching and research units. There are currently 53 majors, including 1 undergraduate major, 1 national "double high plan" professional group, 5 Shaanxi Province "double high plan" professional groups, 2 key construction majors supported by the central government for "higher vocational schools to enhance the ability of professional service industry development", 4 national key construction majors, 14 national high-quality key majors, 10 Shaanxi Province key majors, 14 Shaanxi Province "first-class majors", 6 Shaanxi Province Higher Vocational Colleges Professional Comprehensive Reform Pilot Projects, and 2 Shaanxi Province Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education and Teaching Reform Pilot Departments. The school adheres to the school-running philosophy of "characteristics, informatization, internationalization", "big cooperation, big alliance, big training", and takes "taking root in Xi'an, serving Shaanxi, leading the country, world-class, and creating a highland of technical and skilled talents with characteristics in the modern service industry" as its school-running positioning, and takes "morality and skills, thousands of days of progress" as its school motto, and has established the school-running goal of "first in the province and leading the country". It has established a school-enterprise cooperation system and mechanism of "five-party linkage" among the government, industry, enterprises, universities, and research institutes, and has successively initiated the establishment of the Shaanxi Urban Construction Vocational Education Group, the Bailuyuan University Town University Alliance, the Bailuyuan Cultural Research Association, the Bailuyuan Internet + Fruit Industry (Cherry) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit Forum, the "Belt and Road" Vocational Education Alliance, and the Three-dimensional Education Alliance. It has co-built various models of industrial colleges such as "mixed ownership" and "modern apprenticeship system" with enterprises, and continuously promoted the integration of production and education and the in-depth development of school-enterprise cooperation. The school has established a team of high-quality "double-qualified" teachers with a reasonable structure and a combination of full-time and part-time teachers, with provincial famous teachers and technical backbones of industry enterprises as professional leaders, and master's and doctoral students as the main body. There are 11 provincial famous teachers, 2 provincial teaching teams, and the proportion of "double-qualified" professional teachers is 92%. The school follows the principle of "coordination of professional construction with teaching and research, and integration with industrial cultural resources" to form a unique talent training model. The school and enterprises have jointly built more than 10 on-campus simulation training bases that integrate "teaching, training, training, and service", and opened 105 order classes. There are 227 professional training rooms in the school, including 5 training base construction projects supported by the central government and 6 demonstration training base construction projects for higher vocational education supported by the provincial government; there are 188 off-campus internship training bases and technical service contact points. The school insists on combining campus culture, corporate culture, and professional culture with talent training goals and student needs to cultivate compound talents with both moral integrity and skills and versatile talents. We vigorously promote the construction of educational informatization, comprehensively build an educational and teaching environment of "integration of theory and practice", deeply promote the reform of innovative and entrepreneurial education and teaching, actively expand the entrepreneurial space for students, and build "Shaanxi Vocational College Mobile Cloud Teaching Big Data Research Center", "Shaanxi Construction Engineering Technology Testing Center", "Yi Yatong Global Supply Chain E-commerce Center", e-commerce operation workshop, automobile skills studio, Ai Yi Workshop, Liu Wenxi Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute and other scientific research centers and innovation platforms. In the past three years, more than 300 students have won first, second and third prizes in national and provincial skill competitions. The passing rate of "junior college to undergraduate" has remained above 70%, and the implementation rate of graduates' graduation destinations has remained above 95%, and the quality of employment has continued to improve. The school pays attention to inter-school and international exchanges and cooperation. It supports 5 secondary and higher vocational colleges and 12 county and township vocational education centers. It has established cooperative relations for joint schooling and academic exchanges with educational institutions in Japan, Australia, Canada, Malaysia, Spain, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Ukraine, Pakistan and other countries. We have established the China-Australia and Australia-China Vocational Education and Training Centers with Australia, and have established international classes with Japan to open up channels for students to study abroad. We have organized many groups of teachers and students to go abroad for exchanges, further studies and practice. Since 2018, we have recruited international students.
