Xiamen University is located in Siming District, Xiamen, covering an area of 500.35 acres. It is a full-time higher vocational college organized by the Xiamen Municipal People's Government. The operation of higher vocational education began in 2006. In 2009 and 2015, it passed the first and second rounds of evaluation of talent training in higher vocational colleges. In 2019, it was recognized as a "high-quality junior college higher vocational college" by the Ministry of Education. In 2020, it was determined to be a model modern higher vocational college in Fujian Province. The school has been awarded the titles of "Civilized School" and "Civilized Campus" in Fujian Province. The school adheres to the belief of "born for the city and alive for the city", and continues to adjust its professional layout and professional settings in response to the needs of regional economic and social development and industrial transformation and upgrading. In the past five years, the enrollment rate has been 97.46%, the average employment rate of graduates has been above 96%, the professional matching rate has been above 80%, the employment rate in the province has been 86%, and the employment rate in the city has been 70%.
