Jining Vocational and Technical College is located in Jining City, Shandong Province, the hometown of Confucius and Mencius, the capital of the Grand Canal, and a national civilized city. It is a public higher vocational college established in October 2000 with the approval of the Shandong Provincial People's Government. The college is one of the first batch of famous schools with characteristics of skill-based talent training in Shandong Province, a high-quality higher vocational college in Shandong Province, and a provincial civilized campus. It has been approved as the first batch of cultural quality education bases for vocational colleges in the country, selected into CCTV's "Top 100 Vocational Colleges Tour", and awarded the title of National Civilized Unit by the Central Civilization Committee. The college currently has 854 faculty and staff, 299 professors, associate professors and other senior professional and technical positions, 635 doctors and masters, and more than 90% of "double-qualified" teachers; there are 5 second-level professors, 1 national model worker, 1 expert with special allowance from the State Council, 3 provincial outstanding experts, 9 provincial teaching masters, and 1 Qilu Cultural Talent. The college currently has 16 teaching and research units and 20 teaching auxiliary units, offering 55 majors in 16 categories, and has established 10 advantageous professional groups that are closely aligned with the new and old kinetic energy conversion project, including new generation information technology, intelligent manufacturing, medical care and health, cultural creativity, "Internet +" business, smart construction, boutique tourism, and preschool education, with more than 22,000 full-time students. The college has been approved for 55 national and provincial modern apprenticeship pilot majors, brand professional groups, high-level professional groups and other professional construction projects. It has two "3+2" professional and undergraduate majors, namely automobile inspection and maintenance technology and software technology, jointly cultivated with Linyi University and Jining College; the optometry technology major ranks among the top majors in similar colleges and universities in the country, the software technology major has been successfully selected into the Ministry of Education's Sino-German Advanced Vocational Education Project, and the cultural and creative professional cluster has been selected into the Ministry of Education's "China-Foreign Cultural Exchange All-Media Industry-Education Integration Project". The college has 2 national and provincial professional teaching resource libraries, 59 national and provincial quality courses and quality resource sharing courses, and 50 1+X certificate pilots of the Ministry of Education. The college focuses on absorbing advanced foreign educational concepts and advanced educational standards, actively promotes international school-running cooperation with Russia's Far Eastern State University of Transportation, South Korea's Eulji University, and South Korea's Hunan University, and has opened 5 Sino-foreign cooperative education majors.
