The School of Clinical Medicine of Anhui Medical University is an independent college established by Anhui Medical University in 2003 with the approval of the Ministry of Education of China and the People's Government of Anhui Province. In 2017, in accordance with the requirements of Order No. 26 of the Ministry of Education, it was jointly organized by Anhui Medical University and Anhui Xinhua Group Investment Co., Ltd. It is a general undergraduate college operating according to new mechanisms and new models. The college adheres to the cultural traditions and school-running philosophy of Anhui Medical University for more than 90 years, adheres to the school-running ideas of "demand-oriented, misplaced competition, medical and educational collaboration, and characteristic development", and continuously improves the level of education and teaching. It has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents with excellent character and learning, solid medical foundation, strong hands-on ability, and high comprehensive quality, which are highly praised by all sectors of society and widely recognized by employers. Relying on the strong faculty and school-running resources of Anhui Medical University, combined with the development needs of medical and health undertakings, the college has successively established the Department of Clinical Medicine, the Department of Nursing, the Department of Medical Technology, the Department of Pharmacy and Biomedical Engineering, the Department of Public Health and Health Management, the Department of Basic Medicine, the School of Marxism, the Department of Public Courses and the Experimental Teaching Center. There are 15 undergraduate majors in clinical medicine, nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, biomedical engineering, public utilities management, optometry, medical laboratory technology, medical imaging technology, rehabilitation therapy, health services and management, preventive medicine, intelligent medical engineering, biomedical data science, and biopharmaceuticals. Among them, nursing and clinical medicine have been approved as provincial first-class majors. Students who complete the prescribed courses and internship content and pass the assessment will be allowed to graduate and issued a graduation certificate of Anhui Medical University Clinical Medical College registered by the Ministry of Education.
