Quanzhou Information Engineering College is a full-time applied undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. The school is located in Quanzhou, one of the first batch of Chinese historical and cultural cities, the first East Asian cultural capital, the starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road, and a city of world heritage. It is close to the China Fujian-Taiwan Museum, Quanzhou Museum, and West Lake Park. The school has built a garden-style campus with fragrance all year round, and the scenery is visible from the window. Ancient trees and famous trees can be seen everywhere. The campus greening rate is over 70%, which is the most beautiful courtyard greening unit in Quanzhou. The school adheres to the development concept of "quality-based school" and the school motto of "unity of knowledge and action". It keeps working hard and forging ahead to promote the continuous development of the school's cause. In 2021, it successfully passed the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation of the Ministry of Education and was listed as a master's degree awarding cultivation unit; in 2022, it was selected as a first-class applied undergraduate college cultivation unit in Fujian Province. It has won honors such as "National Advanced Vocational Education Unit", "National First Batch of Excellent Education Informatization Pilot Units", "Sixth National Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Excellent School", the Second Fujian Civilized Campus, Fujian Party Building Demonstration University, Fujian University "Three-dimensional Education" Comprehensive Reform Pilot Construction Unit, and Provincial Safe Campus. The school adheres to the principle of "facing the industry and serving the local area", focusing on engineering, and coordinating the development of multiple disciplines such as engineering, economics, management, and art; it currently offers 32 undergraduate majors; it has 10 secondary teaching units including the School of Electronic and Communication Engineering, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Software, the School of Creative Design, the School of Civil Engineering, the School of Economics and Management, the School of International Education, the Ukrainian Academy of Arts, the School of Marxism, and the General Education Center, and has 2 provincial modern industrial colleges such as intelligent manufacturing and integrated circuits. It has trained more than 30,000 graduates for the society, of which more than 50% are employed in Quanzhou; there are more than 900 full-time teachers and nearly 16,000 full-time students. The school adheres to the fundamental task of "establishing morality and cultivating people", focuses on the central position of talent training, and is committed to cultivating high-level applied talents with "solid foundation, strong ability, innovation, and high quality" with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor, and strives to build first-class undergraduate education. In recent years, it has won 2 national second prizes for teaching achievements, 2 special prizes for teaching achievements in Fujian Province, 1 first prize, and 5 second prizes. At present, it has 3 national first-class professional construction sites, 8 provincial first-class professional construction sites, 1 national first-class course, 30 provincial first-class courses, 3 provincial applied disciplines, 2 provincial demonstrative applied professional groups, 3 provincial universities with service industry characteristics, and 5 provincial innovation and entrepreneurship education reform pilot majors. In the past three years, students have won more than 2,000 provincial and above discipline competition awards. The school strengthens the role of practical teaching in the cultivation of applied talents, invests 1.2 billion to build the Quanzhou Information Engineering College Science and Technology Innovation Industrial Park and the Digital Economy and Cultural Creativity Industrial Park, and strives to build an applied innovation talent training platform integrating industry and education, and integrates innovation and entrepreneurship education into the whole process of talent training. At present, it has established provincial model school academician workstation, National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Center Fujian Application Center, National Institute of Additive Manufacturing Fujian Applied Technology Research Institute, 4 Fujian Provincial University Key Laboratories, 3 Fujian Provincial University Engineering Research Centers, 2 Fujian Provincial University Humanities and Social Sciences Bases, 1 Fujian Provincial Collaborative Innovation Center and other scientific and technological innovation research platforms; it has established multiple experimental training bases including central and provincial financial support, and a number of teaching laboratories such as Fujian Provincial Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center and Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center; it has established multiple innovation and entrepreneurship (incubation) bases for college students, which are the demonstration points of the National Double Innovation Demonstration Base, the first batch of college student innovation and entrepreneurship parks in Fujian Province, the entrepreneurial incubation base for college graduates, and the Quanzhou Public Innovation Space. In addition, it has established industry-university-research cooperation bases with more than 200 well-known domestic and foreign companies such as Bosch Rexroth, Festo Group, Siemens, Hengan Group, Anta Group, and Jomoo; it has taken the lead in establishing the Quanzhou Information, Machinery, and Intelligent Manufacturing Vocational Education Group and the Quanzhou Intelligent Manufacturing Vocational College Alliance. The school adheres to the principle of open education. At present, it has established cooperative exchange relations with more than 30 universities in more than 10 countries and regions, and has achieved the introduction and sharing of high-quality international education and teaching resources in multiple aspects, levels, forms and fields. Cooperate with Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in the United States to organize the 4+0 dual-degree Sino-foreign cooperative education program in Software Engineering (Sino-foreign cooperation); cooperate with the University of Arts of Ukraine to organize the Sino-foreign cooperative education institution of Quanzhou Information Engineering College Ukraine Academy of Arts; and jointly build the "Sino-German (Fujian) Education Cooperation and Development Center" with the State of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, and become a high-quality provincial teacher training base registered by the Ministry of Education, promoting cooperation between China and Germany in talent training, teacher training, industry-education integration and scientific research innovation; and open cooperation projects such as credit recognition, undergraduate-master continuous study and "International Undergraduate to Master Green Channel" with many universities in the United States, Russia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Hungary, Malaysia, Thailand and other countries. Quanzhou Information Engineering College grew up on the cultural fertile soil of Quanzhou, filled with the vigorous vitality of Quanzhou, and carried the mission of regional economic and social development.
