Huaide College of Changzhou University is an independent college jointly established by Changzhou University and Jingjiang City, approved by the Ministry of Education and relying on the high-quality educational resources of Changzhou University. In March 2002, the college was established with the approval of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, and its nature of operation is a public-private secondary college. In May 2005, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the college was converted into an independent college. In December 2013, with the approval of the Jiangsu Provincial Public Institution Registration and Administration Bureau, the college was established and registered as a public institution legal person. In April 2014, Changzhou University and the People's Government of Jingjiang City formally signed an agreement on the relocation of Huaide College to Jingjiang. In May 2014, the Ministry of Education formally approved the relocation of Huaide College to Jingjiang. The college campus covers an area of 748 acres, with a building area of 270,000 square meters. It is equipped with teaching and living facilities such as classrooms, laboratories, libraries, stadiums, student dormitories, and canteens. The main teaching equipment and books and materials can meet the needs of running schools. The college currently has 7 departments, 2 divisions, and 16 functional departments. There are more than 550 faculty members, and the proportion of associate senior and above titles is 42.4%. The college aims to cultivate applied talents, with more than 10,000 students from 23 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country. There are 24 enrollment majors, covering five major disciplines including engineering, liberal arts, economics, management and art. Among them, electronic information engineering, international economics and trade, marketing, logistics management and accounting majors are first-class undergraduate majors in Jiangsu universities, and environmental engineering majors are brand majors for the integration of industry and education in Jiangsu universities. The college shares the high-quality education and teaching resources of the parent body, gives full play to the flexibility of the school-running mechanism, provides strong support for local economic and social development, and has achieved remarkable results in party building, ideological and political education, education and teaching, and student management. In the past three years, the graduation rate has exceeded 99%, the degree awarding rate has exceeded 96%, and the year-end employment rate has stabilized at around 92%. The school has achieved great success in many competitions, including the "Internet +" College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the "Challenge Cup" China College Students Business Plan Competition, the National College Students Human Resources Management Knowledge and Skills Competition, and the National College Students English Competition. In particular, it won a national bronze medal in the 12th "Challenge Cup" China College Students Business Plan Competition.
