Guizhou Electronic Information Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time general higher vocational and technical college independently established with the approval of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is a provincial-level high-level vocational college. The college was founded in 1973 as Guizhou Radio Technical School, and was renamed Guizhou Radio Industry School in 1974. It was successively affiliated to the former Fourth Ministry of Machinery Industry and the former Ministry of Electronics Industry. In 2000, it was merged with Guizhou Electronic Industry Workers University and upgraded to a general higher vocational college. It was listed as a training base for scarce talents in the fields of numerical control processing technology and computer application and software technology by six ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Education; the former Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the Ministry of Information Industry established a national high-tech skilled talent training base for the electronic information industry in the college, and built a Guizhou big data talent training base and a training base for key teachers in vocational colleges in Guizhou Province; it has successively won the honors of "National Advanced Vocational Education Unit", "National Advanced School for Vocational Guidance Work", "Guizhou Advanced Vocational Education Unit", "Provincial 'Five Good' Grassroots Party Organization", "Guizhou Information Industry 'Fifteen' Advanced Unit", "Guizhou Advanced Greening Unit", "Guizhou Higher Education Institutions Beautiful Campus", "Guizhou School Safety and Stability Comprehensive Management Advanced Unit" and so on. In 2019, it was rated as one of the top 50 vocational colleges in the country for student management by the Ministry of Education. In 2019, it was established as a high-quality higher vocational college in Guizhou Province.
