【Historical Overview】Shaanxi Railway Engineering Vocational and Technical College (abbreviated as Shaanxi Railway Institute) was founded in 1973. Its predecessor was the Weinan Railway Engineering School of the Ministry of Railways, located in Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. In 2002, it was transferred to the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and was restructured and upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2003. The school has successively experienced major projects such as the excellent talent training level assessment of the Ministry of Education, provincial demonstration schools, national backbone colleges, the Ministry of Education's innovative development action plan, and the construction of a new campus.
