Basic Overview Handan Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1983 and was originally named "Handan Vocational University". In 1984, Comrade Hu Yaobang, then General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, wrote the name "Handan University" for the school. In 1997, it was renamed "Handan Vocational and Technical College" with the approval of the State Education Commission. Our college is a comprehensive public full-time general college approved by the People's Government of Hebei Province and registered by the Ministry of Education. The college has been identified as one of the 15 national pilot schools of exemplary vocational universities, a key support school for the construction of national exemplary vocational and technical colleges, an excellent college for the national talent training level assessment, a national backbone higher vocational college, and a national high-quality college construction project unit. In 2016, it won the World Vocational Education Alliance Excellence Award. History Handan Vocational and Technical College was founded in June 1983. At that time, it was called "Handan Vocational University". It is a full-time comprehensive general college approved by the Hebei Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. In November 1984, it was renamed "Handan University". Comrade Hu Yaobang, then General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, wrote the name of the school for the school. In September 1985, it moved to the east end of Zhuhe Road, Handan City, which is now No. 141 Zhuhe Road. This site is the school site determined in 1985.
