Weifang Engineering Vocational College is a full-time general higher vocational college run by the state, with a total area of more than 1,500 acres and a building area of 350,000 square meters. There are more than 1,000 faculty and staff, including 585 doctors and masters, 442 "double-qualified" teachers; nearly 20,000 students; 13 secondary colleges (departments) and 46 general higher vocational majors. The college has a long history of running schools and profound cultural heritage. It originated from Peizhen Academy founded by the British Christian Church in 1881. After several changes, it was rebuilt from Shandong Yidu Normal School to Changwei Teachers Continuing Education College in 1978 and began to hold higher vocational education. In 1983, it was renamed Weifang Education College. In 1998, it held higher vocational education and transformed from teacher education to vocational education. In 2010, it was renamed Weifang Engineering Vocational College.
