【School Profile】Anhui University of Foreign Studies is a provincial full-time general undergraduate college featuring foreign language and literature education. It is the only undergraduate foreign language college in the central region. The school has 11 colleges (departments), including the School of International Business, the School of International Economics, the School of International Accounting, the School of International Tourism, the School of Oriental Languages, the School of Western Languages, the School of English Languages, the School of Literature and Art Media, the School of Information and Mathematics, the School of Marxism, and the Department of Physical Education. The school currently offers 43 undergraduate majors, covering six disciplines: literature, economics, management, art, engineering, and science. Among them, there are 12 majors in foreign languages and literature, involving 10 foreign languages. It is the university with the most foreign languages in Anhui Province. 【Experimental Training】The school currently has 63 experimental (training) rooms of various types, of which 4 are provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers. There are 3,373 computers for teaching and scientific research, and 18,660 seats in multimedia classrooms and voice laboratories. Modern finance, economic management, simultaneous interpretation, art design, and oral examination laboratories have reached the advanced level in the province and meet the needs of undergraduate experimental teaching. The school emphasizes resource sharing and open use of laboratories to optimize equipment utilization and effectively utilize on-campus training venues. [Teacher Strength] The school adheres to the strategy of "establishing the school with teachers and strengthening the school with talents". The school has 492 full-time teachers and 204 external full-time teachers. There are 10 foreign teachers and 5 international students on campus, with a total of 13,158 students. Since its establishment, the school has sent more than 50,000 graduates to the front line of production, management, and service. [Employment and Entrepreneurship] The school actively promotes school-government, inter-school, school-enterprise, and school-institute cooperation. At present, it has established 23 industry-university-research cooperation education bases and 95 off-campus internship bases with employers. There are 160 relatively stable employment units, 1 "provincial-level college student entrepreneurship incubation base", and 1 "municipal-level college student entrepreneurship incubation base". The on-campus college student entrepreneurship incubation base has a total of 76 projects settled in, and has won the "National Private University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Culture Construction Award". [Academic Style] The school continues to strengthen discipline construction and the construction of scientific research platforms. In 2021, the school signed joint training professional master's degree education agreements with Anhui Normal University and Anhui University of Finance and Economics, and successfully selected professional master's degree tutors. A professor of our school was successfully elected as the vice president of the Anhui Foreign Literature Society; two key construction disciplines of applied economics and foreign linguistics and applied linguistics and a key cultivation discipline of Japanese linguistics were selected; four research centers, namely the Ecological Economics Research Center, the Luzhou Cultural Translation Research Center, the Cross-border E-commerce Research Center and the Japanese Cultural Research Center, have been established, and many achievements have been made.
