The Military Transportation College is affiliated to the General Logistics Department of the People's Liberation Army. It is the highest institution of higher learning for the entire army to train high-level talents in the fields of military transportation, military vehicles and equipment, and military material storage and transportation. It is a multi-disciplinary teaching and research military academy that integrates support command and engineering technology. It mainly trains undergraduate, master and doctoral students for the entire army, and also undertakes the task of in-service education and training of foreign military students. In the long-term process of running schools, the college has adhered to the school motto of "loyalty, erudition, self-reliance, and pioneering", carried forward the glorious tradition of hard work, self-improvement, and truth-seeking and innovation, and trained and delivered batches of high-quality military transportation qualified talents for the troops. The college has a strong faculty and a team of experts with a reasonable structure, superb academic skills, keen innovation, and great influence inside and outside the military. There are more than 210 professors and associate professors, more than 330 doctors and masters, and more than 90 doctoral and master's tutors. The school has excellent conditions for running schools. It has a number of "military key disciplines" and "2110 Project" key construction disciplines such as military equipment, rear professional services, and military vehicle engineering. It has advanced basic laboratories (centers) such as EDA, computer simulation, and mathematical modeling, as well as high-level professional laboratories such as military transportation services, military automotive electronic technology, automotive off-road performance, internal combustion engine emission control and purification, and vehicle TB vibration experiments, as well as a national defense transportation research center. The network facilities are advanced and can provide sufficient information resources and convenient network teaching conditions. In 2001, it passed the undergraduate teaching evaluation of military academies with excellent results; it has achieved a number of high-level research results, and more than 350 results have won the National and Military Science and Technology Progress Award and the Military Excellent Teaching Achievement Award, and a number of results have reached the international advanced level; it has established the "Journal of the Military Transportation Academy", "Automobile Application" and "Military Automobile" magazines for distribution to the whole country and the whole army. The college is located in Tianjin, an international port city, on the coast of the Bohai Sea and the bank of the Haihe River. It covers an area of more than 1 million square meters, with a beautiful environment and pleasant scenery. It has been rated as a "spiritual civilization community" and "garden-style unit" by Tianjin many times, and is an ideal place for studying and researching.
