Fuzhou University of Foreign Studies is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. It is the executive vice president unit of the Higher Education Professional Committee of the China Private Education Association, a master's degree awarding and cultivation unit, and a first-class applied college cultivation unit in Fujian Province. The school was formerly the Fuzhou Vocational and Technical College of Foreign Studies, which was founded in 2004. It was upgraded to an undergraduate college in 2011 and passed the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation of ordinary colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education in 2018.
