Nanjing Vocational and Technical College of Information Technology is a state-owned public institution. It is a high-level vocational college with Chinese characteristics and a B-level school construction unit of the professional construction plan, a national demonstration (backbone) vocational college, a high-quality junior college of the Ministry of Education, a high-level vocational college in Jiangsu Province, and an excellent vocational college in Jiangsu Province. The school was formerly the Nanjing Radio Industry School founded in 1953. It is the first electronic secondary vocational school after the founding of New China. Premier Zhou Enlai, Chen Yi, Tan Zhenlin, and Vice Premier Xi Zhongxun have visited the school, and more than 3,000 foreign guests and experts have visited the school for exchanges. Over the past 70 years, it has provided more than 100,000 technical and skilled talents for the society. The school is located in Xianlin University Town, covers an area of 1,000 acres, has more than 13,000 students, more than 850 faculty and staff, fixed assets of 1.274 billion yuan, and various teaching and scientific research equipment with a total value of 380 million yuan. The school has 14 teaching departments, including the School of Electronic Information, the School of Network and Communication, the School of Artificial Intelligence, the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, the School of Intelligent Transportation, the School of Digital Business, the School of Digital Art, the School of Military Education, the School of Marxism, the Department of Quality Education, the Department of Physical Education, the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the School of Education and Training, and the School of International Education. The school adheres to the school motto of "virtue, ability, standardization and innovation", adheres to "serving all students, serving the local economy, and serving the information industry", and faces strategic emerging industries such as new generation information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, and digital creativity. With artificial intelligence (AI) as the background, it builds an artificial intelligence "concentric circle" professional cluster, serves the Yangtze River Delta information industry chain, and provides a practical case for the digital transformation and upgrading of higher vocational information majors across the country. There are 41 enrollment majors in 2024, covering the new generation of information technology industry, high-end software and information service industry, high-end equipment manufacturing industry, new energy industry, new energy vehicle industry, digital creative industry and related service industries. It fully connects with the strategic emerging industries of Jiangsu Province, and the matching degree with regional key industries reaches 100%. There are 2 national double-high professional clusters, 4 provincial high-level professional clusters, 6 national key majors, 2 national training bases, 3 national professional teaching resource libraries, 6 national online quality courses, 2 of the first batch of national excellent textbook awards, 22 national planning textbooks for the "13th Five-Year Plan", and 30 national planning textbooks for the "14th Five-Year Plan"; 2 national industry-education integration training bases, 3 provincial industry-education integration platforms; and 32 teaching achievements at or above the provincial level. The school actively responds to the strategies of manufacturing power, network power and digital China, focuses on the 1650 industrial system of Jiangsu Province, takes industry-education integration as the main line, and science-education integration as the direction. The professional group cooperates with leading enterprises to build an industry-education integration platform carrier, and creates a new mechanism of industry-education integration of "leading enterprise + professional group + ecosystem". It cooperates with Huawei and others to lead the establishment of three industry-education integration communities such as the National Digital Information Technology Innovation, and cooperates with Nanjing Jiangning Economic and Technological Development Zone and others to lead the establishment of two industry-education consortia such as Nanjing (Metropolitan Area) Industrial Robots and Intelligent Equipment, and cooperates with China Electronics, JD.com, Estun and others to establish 9 industrial colleges, creating a school-enterprise community of destiny that integrates talent training, collaborative innovation and social services, and building a new ecology of industry-education integration, collaborative education, science-education integration, and collaborative development of science and technology. Together with four national development zones such as Kunshan, Wujiang, Taicang and Changshu, a modern apprenticeship model of "industrial park + school + enterprise group" has been formed, providing a "Nanxin solution" for exploring and practicing modern apprenticeship with Chinese characteristics. The results of industry-education integration were selected into the first batch of typical cases of industry-education integration by the Ministry of Education, the National Demonstration Vocational Education Group, the first batch of specialized and new industry colleges by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the pilot demonstration project of Sino-German intelligent manufacturing cooperation. It has become a pilot college for the construction of industry-education integration majors by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the first batch of municipal industry-education consortium cultivation units in Jiangsu Province, the first batch of field engineer training projects in Jiangsu Province, and a typical production practice project for school-enterprise cooperation in vocational education in Jiangsu Province. The school implements the cultivation of scientific research teams and the construction of technology innovation service platforms. In the past 5 years, it has cultivated 51 provincial-level science and technology vice presidents, built 3 provincial-level science and technology innovation teams and technology transfer centers, completed more than 200 achievements, and cultivated a team of senior technology brokers, becoming the first higher vocational college in the province with national senior qualifications. It has built 5 provincial scientific research platforms and obtained 6 National Natural Science Foundation projects; applied for 2,220 intellectual property rights and obtained 1,166 authorizations, including 368 authorized invention patents, ranking among the top 10 higher vocational colleges in the country; participated in the formulation of 36 national standards and norms for enterprises. Focusing on the needs of regional enterprises, it has served more than 2,500 enterprises and more than 2,700 enterprise projects, driving economic benefits of more than 1.8 billion yuan, and the contract turnover of "four technologies" has ranked first among higher vocational colleges in the province for three consecutive years. The school has set up platforms such as overseas training, joint training of professional masters, and inter-school joint workshops, and built a foreign-related technical service center, providing 113 foreign-related technical services to the countries along the Belt and Road. It has been selected into two projects of Sino-foreign cultural exchange by the Ministry of Education, a member unit of the Luban Workshop Alliance, a project of industry-education integration by the Ministry of Education, and a key construction project of international Chinese teaching resources. It has built two brand majors for international talent training in Jiangsu Province during the 14th Five-Year Plan. The 5G technology and application virtual simulation competition and training platform has been recommended by the Ministry of Education as an internationally influential vocational education equipment, serving many international events such as the World Skills Competition and the BRICS Competition. It has taken the lead in developing the national quality certification indicator system for higher vocational education for international students in China, serving the national higher vocational education talent training certification, and has jointly trained 871 international students with enterprises, significantly enhancing the school's international influence.
