Guangzhou Songtian Vocational College was established in September 2006. It is a full-time general higher vocational college approved by the provincial government and registered by the Ministry of Education. The school is located in Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, an important node of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Corridor and the most beautiful lychee town in China. The school currently covers an area of 541 acres and a building area of nearly 360,000 square meters. The campus is built on the mountain and has a beautiful environment. It has been rated as a "Green School in Guangdong Province" and a "Water-Saving University in Guangdong Province"; it has convenient transportation, adjacent to Shantian Station and Zhucun Station of Guangzhou Metro Line 21, and close to the Zhucun East Entrance and Exit of the North Third Ring Expressway (Pearl River Delta Ring Expressway), with a superior geographical location. The school is based in Guangzhou, facing the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and serving the regional economic and social development; cultivating technical and skilled talents with broad vision, good professionalism, advanced professional skills, and strong physical fitness; the school follows the school motto of "honoring morality and ability, and applying knowledge to practice", and in accordance with the school-running ideas of "optimizing resources, building teams, improving mechanisms, highlighting characteristics, and cultivating culture", it continuously improves the quality of talent training and achieves high-quality and rapid development. The school has 9 teaching units including the School of Finance and Management, the School of Business, the School of Information Engineering, the School of Intelligent Engineering, the School of Art and Architecture, the School of Physical Education and Education, the School of Health, the School of Marxism, and the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. It offers 43 majors, including a provincial high-level professional group - the computer application technology professional group, a provincial key major - big data and accounting, 3 school-level high-level professional groups, and 7 school-level brand majors. The school actively promotes the collaborative operation of government, schools, enterprises, and deepens the reform of integrating production and education. It has built nearly 100 professional training rooms on campus with complete supporting facilities and advanced facilities; cultivated and built 6 modern industrial colleges such as the "Dexin Medical Equipment Industry College"; built on-campus practical teaching bases such as the Bay Area Youth Entrepreneurship Incubation Base and Digital Image Production; built 349 off-campus practical teaching bases such as Huawei, Haier, and Xiaopeng Motors, and achieved full coverage of professional training practices inside and outside the school. The school cooperates with overseas universities such as the Australian Institute of Business Administration (King's College) and Richmond American International University in London, UK, to share resources, introduce international courses and carry out mutual recognition of Chinese and foreign credits, and implement the "3+1+1" undergraduate and master's direct train plan and the "2+2" joint training program. The school promotes the integration of "job courses, competitions, certificates and creation" to enhance students' professional abilities. In 2023, our teachers and students won 197 awards in various vocational skills competitions organized by the state, province and city, including 29 national awards and 143 provincial awards. Among the national awards, there are 6 first prizes, 5 second prizes, 8 third prizes, and 10 excellent awards; among the provincial awards, there are 24 first prizes, 21 second prizes, 39 third prizes, and 59 excellent awards, which have achieved major breakthroughs. Our school has distinct sports characteristics. Special projects such as shuttlecock, fighting, and sports dance have won 3 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals at the international level, 8 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals at the national level, and 23 gold, 9 silver, and 17 bronze medals at the provincial level. It has been reported many times by mainstream media such as People's Daily, China Sports Daily, Nanfang Daily, and Xuexi Qiangguo. Over the years, the school's enrollment plan completion rate and new student registration rate have ranked among the top private higher vocational colleges in Guangdong Province; the initial employment rate of graduates exceeds the average level of higher vocational colleges in the province.
