Nanchang Normal University of Technology was established in 2001. Its predecessor was the Institute of Science and Technology of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (independent college). In February 2021, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was renamed "Nanchang Normal University of Technology". It is independently run by Jiangxi Tianyuan Real Estate Co., Ltd. It is an independent non-profit private normal undergraduate college. The Jiulong Lake Campus of the school is located in Honggutan New District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, covering an area of 591.8796 acres, with a total building area of 159,900 square meters, 66,700 square meters of teaching and administrative buildings, and a total value of more than 40 million yuan in teaching equipment. The school currently has a public computer center, an electronic information training center, an economic management training center, a teacher skills training center and other professional experimental training rooms. The Ganxin Campus is located in the Communist Youth Group of Ganjiang New District, Jiangxi Province, covering an area of 2,560 acres and a planned construction area of 900,000 square meters. The project has been included in the "First Batch of Provincial Key Construction Projects in 2022" of Jiangxi Province. The campus has a talent teaching and training center, an innovation and entrepreneurship center, a scientific research center, etc., with an average of 100 books per student. The school currently has five secondary colleges, including the School of Marxism, the School of Education, the School of Electronics and Information Engineering, the School of Economics and Management, and the School of Art and Sports. There are more than 9,500 students on campus, offering 26 undergraduate majors and 32 junior college majors, including ideological and political education, Chinese language and literature, electronic information engineering, international economics and trade, and physical education. There are more than 600 faculty and staff members, including more than 480 full-time teachers, more than 80% of whom have a master's degree or above, 30.12% of whom are "dual-qualified" teachers with work experience in industry and enterprises, more than 100 teachers with senior professional titles, and more than 20 evaluation experts from the Ministry of Education, professional certification experts, members of the Teaching Steering Committee, provincial subject leaders, talent experts, and university setting experts. A group of well-known domestic experts, scholars, professional and technical personnel, and senior managers have been hired as visiting professors or part-time teachers.
