Zhejiang A&F University Jiyang College is located in Zhuji City, Zhejiang Province, one of the most advanced counties and cities in education and one of the first batch of strong cities in education in Zhejiang Province. It is a full-time undergraduate independent college approved by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province. The college was formerly known as Tianmu College of Zhejiang Forestry College. It was founded in 2000 by Zhejiang Forestry College (the predecessor of Zhejiang A&F University). In 2011, Zhejiang A&F University and Zhuji Municipal People's Government of Zhejiang Province jointly built it and co-organized it with Zhuji Education Development Investment Co., Ltd. of Zhejiang Province. In September 2013, the school was relocated from Lin'an City, Zhejiang Province to Zhuji City. Zhuji City is located in the north-central part of Zhejiang Province, adjacent to Hangzhou in the north, Shaoxing in the east, and Yiwu in the south. It has convenient transportation and obvious location advantages. The Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway, Hangzhou-Jinhua-Quzhou, Zhuyong and Shaozhu Expressways run through the entire territory, and the Puyang River, a tributary of the Qiantang River, flows through the entire area. The college is located in the Chengbei Education Park, Zhuji City, Zhejiang Province, covering an area of 542.5 acres. The campus is majestic, inherits the cultural context, is extraordinary in the plain, and highlights its characteristics. The total building area of the school is 326,000 square meters, with a total investment of 1.56 billion yuan; among them, the total building area of Jiyang Sports Center is 38,000 square meters, integrating basketball hall, swimming pool and tennis hall, and can undertake international sports events; the total construction area of the library is 28,000 square meters, which can store 1.5 million books and materials, and the current paper collection is more than 1.01 million books; the classrooms are equipped with advanced multimedia teaching facilities, which can accommodate 16,000 students at the same time; the total building area of the experimental teaching building is 19,000 square meters, and the total value of the current teaching equipment is 88.4943 million yuan. The computer experimental teaching center is a provincial experimental teaching demonstration center with advanced laboratory equipment and facilities. In accordance with the Ministry of Education’s principle of "relying on the parent body, relatively independent, and standardized management", the college implements the dean responsibility system under the leadership of the board of directors. In the past three years, students have won 29 national awards (7 first prizes at the national level, 10 second prizes at the national level, and 12 third prizes at the national level) and 316 provincial and ministerial awards in various discipline competitions; published 184 scientific research papers, and authorized 22 patents, including 18 invention patents.
