Hefei Institute of Technology is a full-time general undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education and organized by the Hefei Municipal People's Government. Its predecessor was the Jianghuai College of Anhui University, founded in 2003. The school is located at No. 6 Zhizhong Road, Ecological Science City, Chaohu Peninsula, Hefei City, covering an area of 890 acres and a total construction area of 557,000 square meters. The school highlights the "science and engineering" school-running positioning, adheres to open education, relies on the Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center, promotes interdisciplinary integration and deep integration of science, industry and education, and strives to build a high-level and distinctive science and engineering application research university, providing talent support and intellectual support for the high-quality development of regional economy and society. The school has 12 colleges (departments), including the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, the School of Advanced Manufacturing, the School of Biomedicine, the School of New Energy, the School of Artificial Intelligence, the School of Electronic Information Engineering, the School of Materials Science and Engineering, the School of Aerospace Information, the School of Science, and the School of Marxism.
