Hunan University of Technology College of Science and Technology is an independent college established by Hunan University of Technology according to the new system and new model. Hunan University of Technology is a comprehensive university with a history of more than 60 years. It is a university that "serves the national special needs doctoral talent training program". The school features packaging education. It is the first member unit accepted by the International Packaging Association (IAPRI) in my country. It is the director unit of the Packaging Education Committee of the China Packaging Federation. It is also the only vice president unit of the China Packaging Federation and the China Packaging Technology Training Center among universities in the country. The school currently has two campuses with a total area of 3,853.7 acres. The total construction area of the library is 55,430.29 square meters, with a collection of more than 2.8327 million books; the total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is 404 million yuan, and there are 8,297 digital terminals. Hunan University of Technology Science and Technology College was established in 2001 with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Hunan Province. It is one of the first independent colleges confirmed by the country. The college is located in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, which is known as the "China Power Valley", an old national industrial base. The college is located in the old campus of Hunan University of Technology, covering an area of more than 800 acres, with green trees and beautiful environment. In 2023, the college will recruit 17 majors for four-year full-time undergraduates from 25 provinces (cities and regions) including Hunan, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Henan, Hebei, Shandong, Shanxi, Tianjin, Hubei, Anhui, Chongqing, Yunnan, Jilin Guizhou, Hainan, Sichuan, Heilongjiang, Gansu, Xinjiang, and Tibet. The specific enrollment majors and number of students in each source province (city, district) shall be subject to the announcement of the enrollment authorities of each province (city, district). The college adheres to the admission principle of "openness, fairness, justice and selection of the best", and conducts enrollment and admission work in strict accordance with the relevant policies of the state and the source province (city, district). After the new students are enrolled, they will be electronically registered by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Those who have completed their studies and passed the exams will be awarded a bachelor's degree diploma from the Hunan University of Technology and Science and Technology College; those who meet the conditions for the award of a bachelor's degree will be awarded a bachelor's degree certificate from the Hunan University of Technology and Science and Technology College. The college closely relies on its parent school, Hunan University of Technology, and shares educational resources such as high-quality teachers, books and experimental equipment.
