Hefei University of Economics (formerly Anhui Agricultural University College of Economics and Technology) is a full-time general undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education and a bachelor's degree authorization institution approved by the Anhui Provincial People's Government Degree Committee. The college adheres to the school-running philosophy of "cultivating virtue and understanding reason, and accumulating wisdom and strengthening ability", based in Hefei, serving Anhui, integrating into the Yangtze River Delta, promoting internationalization, and focusing on cultivating high-quality application-oriented talents that adapt to and promote regional economic development. The school covers an area of more than 1,200 acres and a building area of more than 400,000 square meters; the library has a collection of 1.244 million paper books and 1 million electronic books; it has 97 on-campus experimental training rooms and 77 off-campus practical teaching bases; there are 659 faculty and staff, including 570 full-time teachers, 394 of whom have a master's degree or above, and 248 teachers with associate senior professional and technical positions or above, including 94 full professors. There are 9 provincial teaching teams and 15 provincial teaching masters. In recent years, the school has been approved for 210 provincial quality projects and 26 provincial and above teaching achievement awards, including 1 national teaching achievement award, 1 provincial special prize, and 4 first prizes. 62 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects have been approved; 37 provincial outstanding young talent projects; 629 high-quality academic papers have been published; 29 patents have been authorized; and 58 books and textbooks have been published. The school currently has 38 undergraduate majors, including 4 provincial first-class majors and 6 provincial key construction majors. An application-oriented professional system with coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as economics, management, engineering, art, law, and literature has been formed. The school attaches great importance to practical teaching links and subject skills competitions, integrates innovation and entrepreneurship education into the whole process of talent training, and builds an application-oriented curriculum system. It has won a total of 477 provincial and above awards, including 6 national awards, ranking among the top universities of the same type in the province. Since its establishment, the school has won praise from students, parents and the community with its high-level faculty, high-quality teaching, standardized management, high-quality services and colorful campus culture. It has won the honorary titles of "Excellent Independent College of Anhui Province", "Excellent Unit for Student Aid Assessment in Anhui Province's People's Livelihood Project", and "Civilized Unit of Hefei City". In 2019, the school hosted the national finals of the 3rd China Vocational Education Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Undergraduate Group) Competition and won the Outstanding Contribution Award.
