Shanghai Film Academy was established in December 2003. It is a full-time general higher art college approved by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. It currently has 20 majors and nearly 2,300 students. As the second independent college named after film in the country, the college adheres to the school motto of "virtue, broad art, innovation and harmony", seizes the opportunity of Shanghai to promote the prosperity and revival of the film industry, focuses on the modern film industry, pays attention to the combination of art and technology, and comprehensively implements the industry-education integration collaborative education and international development strategy. Adhere to the comprehensive improvement of students' knowledge, ability and quality as the purpose of running a school, and takes skill application as the main line to cultivate highly skilled talents. The college has a Class A license for TV drama production. Through the teaching reform of multi-disciplinary comprehensive joint training (Shanghai Teaching Achievement First Prize), it has deeply promoted the integration of industry and education and collaborative education across disciplines, and established an open and interactive talent training model. After 18 years of development, the college has won 2 international awards and more than 60 national awards. Focusing on Shanghai's three strategies of building a global film and television creation center, an Asian performing arts capital, and a global animation and game original center, the college is actively integrating cultural and educational linkages through a series of resource integration to meet the new needs of Shanghai's film and television industry innovation and development, introducing global high-quality film education and industry enterprise resources, creating a diversified film and television talent training platform, and actively helping Shanghai to create a "1+3+X" new pattern of film and television industry development. The college continues to study and implement the State Council's "National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan" and "Vocational Education Quality Improvement Action Plan (2020-2023)", and through further collaboration with industry and education, deepening integration, improving the mechanism of integrating moral and technical skills and arts, and improving the quality assurance system of multi-governance, it will help the high-quality development of vocational education; through integrating resources, intensive cultivation and in-depth exploration, optimizing the school-enterprise cooperation ecosystem, enabling teaching reform, and improving the college's vocational education level and service level; by relying on the previous reform results, shifting gears and speeding up, broadening the development pattern vertically and horizontally, relying on talent training models such as high-level and medium-level high-level, enriching the talent training level, improving the college's development level, and actively cultivating professional high-skilled talents for the front line of the industry.
